Websites

Your website is often one of the first impressions new customers have of your business. I love helping businesses refine their web presence so it delivers the right message.

Website redesigns

I’ve been involved in multiple major web redesign projects as a writer, for colleges and universities as well as small nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Through each of these projects, I’ve continued to learn and implement best practices around user experience on the web. Copy and design must work hand-in-hand, and that means setting up a collaborative and clear process for the redesign project. As a result, I can help your organization think through the copy and content creation processes for your website redesign in addition to writing the copy you need to achieve your goals.

Landing pages

A best value college

Landing pages serve a specific purpose in your customer’s journey. These are the pages where your customer lands after taking ain action, like clicking on a Google ad for your organization or a hyperlink in an email.

After the ad or email or other piece of marketing piques the customer’s interest enough for them to click to the landing page, you then have to be able to move them along towards the next (and sometimes final) action you want them to take. Sometimes a landing page is where you make the sale; sometimes it gets them to sign up for a service or a newsletter. No matter what, the copy on the landing page is critical to helping your customer complete the call to action.

Here’s an example of a landing page I worked on for a college. The purpose here was to convince students (or parents) that a private liberal arts college can be within their reach financially.
